The Dynamics of Structuration: Structural Presence, Boundary, Scale, and the Stabilization of Relation

Abstract

This paper examines how structural presence, boundary, and scale interact in the stabilization of relation. It argues that structuration must be understood as a scale-sensitive process in which local formations organize burdens, mediate contact, and maintain viability within a differentiated field. Structural presence is treated not as mere existence but as adequacy: the degree to which a formation can actually hold and organize the relations it claims to carry.
